- Flour — to buy400 g
- Ground beef — to buy300 g
- Onion — to buy1
- Fresh cilantro — to buy1 bunch
- Cumin — to buy1/2 tsp
- Yogurt — to buy300 g
- Garlic — to buy2 cloves
- Fresh mint — to buya few leaves
Preparation
Make a dough with the flour, water and a pinch of salt, knead 5 minutes until smooth, let rest 20 minutes under a cloth.
Mix the ground beef with the finely chopped onion, coriander, cumin and a little pepper.
Roll the dough very thin, cut into squares, place a small spoonful of filling in the centre of each and close into small, tightly pinched purses so they don't open while steaming.
Steam the mantu 20 minutes, without letting them touch, until the dough is translucent and the filling fully cooked.
Serve topped with garlic yoghurt mixed with dried mint, for a fresh touch that contrasts with the spiced filling.
