- Beef steak — to buy4
- Salt — to buy1 pincée
- Pepper — to buy1 pincée
- Flour — to buy100 g
- Egg — to buy2
- Chapelure — to buy150 g
- Olive oil — to buy10 cl
- Tomato — to buy200 g (sauce)
- Ham — to buy4 tranches
- Mozzarella — to buy200 g
- Oregano — to buy1 c. à c.
Preparation
Flatten the beef steaks between two sheets of cling film with a rolling pin, until thin and even.
Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Set up three plates: one with flour, one with beaten egg, one with breadcrumbs. Coat each steak in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, pressing well so they stick.
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and fry the milanesas for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towel.
Arrange the milanesas on a baking tray, top each with a spoonful of tomato sauce.
Add a slice of ham then a generous layer of grated mozzarella on each milanesa, sprinkle with oregano.
Grill for 5-6 minutes under the oven broiler, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
Serve immediately, piping hot.
