- Braising beef — to buy600 g
- Olive oil — to buy2 tbsp
- Onion — to buy1
- Garlic — to buy3 cloves
- Tomato paste — to buy2 tbsp
- Stock — to buy500 ml
- Peanut paste — to buy200 g
- Chili pepper — to buy1
- Tomato — to buy2
Preparation
Cut the braising beef into large cubes.
Heat the oil in a pot and brown the meat in small batches, then set aside.
In the same pot, sauté the sliced onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes, stirring, to cook off its acidity.
Return the meat to the pot, pour in the broth and bring to the boil.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes, until the meat starts to become tender.
Loosen the peanut paste with a little hot broth, then stir it into the pot.
Add the chili and chopped tomatoes, simmer uncovered for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally so it doesn't catch.
Season with salt; the sauce should be smooth and glossy — serve hot with rice or tô.
