- Milk — to buy750 ml
- Cornstarch — to buy60 g
- Sugar — to buy80 g
- Eau de rose — to buy2 c. à c.
- Grenadine — to buypour servir
- Pistachios — to buy2 c. à s. concassées
Preparation
Take a little of the cold milk and dissolve the cornstarch in it to avoid lumps.
Pour the rest of the milk into a saucepan with the sugar and bring gently to a simmer, stirring.
Add the cornstarch-milk mixture in a stream, whisking constantly, and let it thicken over low heat for 4-5 minutes, until you get a smooth, custard-like texture that coats the back of a spoon.
Off the heat, stir in the rose water.
Pour into small ramekins and let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours, until fully set.
When serving, drizzle with a little syrup (grenadine or golden syrup) and sprinkle with crushed pistachios.
