- Flour — to buy300 g
- Salt — to buy1 pinch
- Ground beef — to buy300 g
- Spring onion — to buy3, chopped
- Ginger — to buy1 tsp grated
- Garlic — to buy2 cloves
- Fresh cilantro — to buy1 handful, chopped
- Tomato — to buy2, for the sauce
- Chili pepper — to buy1, for the sauce
Preparation
Make a dough with flour, water and a pinch of salt, knead until you get a soft ball, cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
Mix the ground beef (or ground chicken) with spring onion, ginger, garlic and chopped coriander.
Roll the dough into thin rounds, place a spoonful of filling in the center of each.
Fold each round closed, pleating the edges to form a small sealed pouch.
Steam the momos for 12-15 minutes in a well-oiled steamer basket, until the dough is translucent and the filling cooked through.
Serve piping hot with a chili tomato dipping sauce.
