- Flour — to buy200 g
- Egg — to buy2
- Milk — to buy250 ml
- Butter — to buy30 g
- Baking powder — to buy1 tbsp
- Maple syrup — to buyto taste
Preparation
Mix the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
Add the eggs, milk and melted, cooled butter, and whisk just enough for a smooth, even batter — a few small lumps are fine, overwhisking would make the pancakes less fluffy.
Let the batter rest for 5 minutes — the baking powder starts to act, so the pancakes will rise better as they cook.
Heat a pan over medium heat, butter it lightly, and pour a ladleful of batter per pancake.
Cook for about 2 minutes, until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look dry, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
Stack the pancakes and serve piping hot with maple syrup.
